Old Jaffa

Four thousand years of harbor, market, and light

Jaffa is one of the world's oldest port cities — a layered neighborhood of stone alleys, artist studios, and sea-facing promenades at the southern edge of Tel Aviv.

The Ancient Port

Jaffa's harbor has welcomed traders, pilgrims, and travelers for millennia. Today the renovated port boardwalk offers seafood restaurants, live music on summer evenings, and sunrise views that locals guard as a daily ritual. A five-minute walk from all our apartments.

The Flea Market

Shuk Hapishpeshim pulses with vintage furniture, handmade jewelry, and spice stalls tucked between Ottoman-era buildings. Open Sunday through Thursday with the best browsing before noon. Stop at Abu Hassan for the city's most celebrated hummus — a three-minute walk from our door.

Sunset & the Promenade

The Tayelet promenade stretches from Jaffa to central Tel Aviv along the cliff edge. Evening joggers, street musicians, and painters gather as the sun drops behind the minaret of the Mahmoudiya Mosque. Bring a bottle of wine and claim a bench — this is Jaffa's daily theater.
